Arriving at Rosedale Station

A face-to-face moderation session was held at Rosedale Neighbourhood House on September 12 2014.

Eight people registered for this opportunity to discuss the Pre-accredited Quality Framework with fellow practioners and to complete a review of their pre-accredited course. On the day, eight people attended including two Neighbourhood House coordinators, five tutors/teachers and project staff.
People travelled long distances to attend this event; travelling from as far as East Gippsland and from South Gippsland.
To best meet the needs of the attendees, we broke into two groups.
One group discussed the moderation process and the pre-accredited Quality Framework as they completed one course moderation.
The second group focused on writing Course Plan Part 1 and 2; reflecting on how these documents provide evidence for the moderation process.
We were provided with a generous and delicious lunch provided by the Victoria Rose Café in Rosedale.
After lunch, the upcoming, Excellently Local PQF Conference was introduced to the attendees and the project wiki, 180 Degrees of Reflection: Networking Moderation in Gippsland was displayed which generated conversation around the Pre-accredited Quality Framework including the sharing of A Frames.
Feedback was given with regard to the Pre-accredited Quality Framework: difficulty in editing documents, repetition in documentation and some in consistencies in information contained within the PQF Kit.
Feedback indicated that those in attendance were happy with the day as individual needs were addressed and some have expressed interest in attending up-coming events.
